Sony's Problem

Of all the problems facing Sony at the moment, I think the cause of most of them is just bad marketing and PR. I didn’t really think that these problems would bury them, because, in the end, that stuff woul d eventually dissolve away as long as the underlying product is sound.
These marketing problems will cause irreparable damage, however, if they start damaging Sony’s product and competitive advantages. GameDaily BIZ and BusinessWeek Online are reporting that maybe the pricing strategy and resulting backlash may be turning developers away from the PS3. Sony needs to really pay a lot of attention to this, because imho all of Sony’s power comes from third party support.
Originally I thought that the strong 3rd party titles would be the justification for the high price. If you buy a PS3, you are buying Final Fantasy, MGS, and other strong titles like that. But if the 3rd party support goes elsewhere because of the high price, then they are left with nothing at all!
