PS3 Demand Outpacing Wii?

On PS3 launch day, my local Best Buy is opening 2 hours early. On Wii launch day, it’s only opening 1 hour early.

Wal-Mart has a sign in their videogame department explaining how they are using some elaborate lottery system to determine who gets a PS3. There’s no mention of the Wii.

Is this because there’s going to be enough Wiis for everyone? Or is this indicative of the consumer demand they’re seeing?
