Wii Commercial

see on Youtube here. I’d embed it, but apparently the folks at Nintendo who purchased the channel on Youtube don’t understand this whole “new media” thing and disabled the embedding feature.

Metroid looks like it might be good. The graphics on Red Steel look TERRIBLE. While I get the whole strategy of showing people having fun playing your system, all of the footage in these commercials just seems so fake and forced. Reminds me of a board game commercial (which might not be a coincidence, considering the Wii’s value proposition).

Plus, I think it might be a little racist, playing off of Japanese stereotypes. Pull up in tiny car. bow “We would like to play.” WTF?
