The Camaraderie of the Line

Who did I meet while waiting last night?

The father – wanting only the best Christmas present for his son and daughter. On the morning of December 25th, they will be happy.

The weary PS3 camper – who just came off of a 30 hour wait with but a raincheck in his hand. He would not wake up Monday morning empty handed.

The pre-school bible teacher – who had to go teach his class this morning, and hoped that the store would open early. His faith was rewarded.

The fanboy – who drove to store after store all morning, looking for the one – the one with empty line. He found it.

We come from so many different backgrounds, my friends, but were united for one purpose. We will have been together for just this one time – once it is over, we will again go our separate ways, into our own lives again, in happiness and triumph.

But we will always be line brothers. Wherever you go in life, wherever your Wii takes you: I will salute you, my camarades, I will salute you.
